It amazes me that not many players or botters scout out the enemy front line as it is a very vital tool to have in your tool box, no matter the game you play or the limit you play it at. So what is scouting the enemy? The answer is simple, examining your opponents and making notes.
Now as a poker player when we manually play games ourselves we do this naturally, we watch our opponents and how they play, the hands they play and any betting patterns we may pick up, but how does this relate to botting?
The Dreaded Default coding

Most of you will be well aware that the default .ppl file for the Omaha 08 (Hi/Lo) bot is an absolute pain in the you know what, Egors cash profile (which is what the default is for the 08 bot) just does not cut it for different game types, and if the profile were to make some of those moves in a cash game I would be very concerned, its loose, its trigger happy, it bets with next to nothing and does nothing but cause everyone headaches - especially myself and Sausedup while trying to code out these guns blazing moves that seem to creep through no matter what we do.

Tue, 02/23/2010 - 11:34 — RoyalIt has been some time since my last blog entry, a combination of coding new profiles (and updating them and coding out the annoying default) and running the rags to riches challenge which is just past %70 complete; that alone has been very exciting for me, I love seeing it motivate others, and not just with Omaha, the Holdem Challenge as well has really been satisfying to watch, especially considering Cosmo asked for my advice and assistance before setting up the challenge. Then I moved house, and had some real time drama's to deal with – alas I am here to blog again.
