I have mentioned this before on various threads, however to make the information easier to access for you newer and not so seasoned members I decided to post a blog with the basic details so no one loses any unneeded bankroll due to the problems we can face when the above occurs. Normally, when an upgrade is posted to one of the supported poker sites it almost always causes the Bot some problems in many different ways; at Fulltilt we can operate in OCR mode while awaiting a fix to be posted, but this is really a tricky task as so many different things can go wrong on all the sites after an upgrade.

At Fultilt Poker, OCR mode allows us to continue botting until a fix is released, however during this time any games played the "chat window" must be seen on the desktop at all times, and the dealer messages must certainly be set to all so the coding can read from the chat window more excursively.

If you do decide to play at one of the supported poker sites after an update has been done the best thing to do is to firstly check the announcements page of the Shanky forum, one to ensure that the community has been made aware that an update has occurred; two is to read the threads posted and see any problems or glitches other users have experienced; this alone could save you a good amount of your roll.

If there is a glitch or bug, or hand reading errors, miss-clicks and stack reading problems; your best strategy is to cut back on botting until the patch/update is released to take care of any problems that have sprung up; here is really no point in risking it, as your money is at stake.  If you find one of these problems report it to Shanky ASAP unless someone - or everyone already has.

On the updates thread, ensure you subscribe to this so you are emailed when new updates are posted, this will ensure you always have the latest version.
